At what age can you get a debit card (or some form of credit ) so that you can start shopping online?

Parents won't let me use their credit ( just for safety wise, since they don't trust internet shopping) so i was planning a trip to the bank if i could get a debit card, but was told you have to be like 18 to get one.|||You can get a debit card if you're under 18 as long as your parents authorize it. You can't get credit until you're 18. But if you can't wait, you can get a pre-paid card like the Vanilla card so that you can buy thing online in the meantime.

Just buy the card and load it with however much you need and go shopping www.vanillamastercard.com|||you can get a debit card at any age, however, if you are young under 15 (for scotiabank) you need a parent to sign.

In terms of credit if you are under age of majority you need to be an additional user on your parents/adults credit card.|||well i got a debit card for christmas 2 years ago and i was 9 then. i am going to be eleven this november i got one last year too!
