It is possible to cancel a credit card transaction. What about debit card transactions, can they be cancelled?

I bought furniture that has still not been delivered and I want to cancel and buy it elsewhere. It's been 6 weeks. They said 6 weeks. Can I cancel a debit card transaction?|||Sure you can......

contact the company your buying the furniture from first, and let them know you are ery upset and cancelling the transaction, and they better issue you a refund right away.

rant and rave to them and tell them how lousy you think they are because they dont follow through - if its a local company go right to them, demand them to credit your credit card account

and then contact your bank and cancell the transaction out|||Of course you can call bank and have it cancelled BUT, notify the store first. Check contract CAREFULLY.|||You do have the option of disputing the transaction with your credit card company. But first you must contact the merchant, and ask them why you have not received merchandise, and let them knowo you expect a credit to be put back on your credit card. If for some reason they say no way, contact your credit card company to dispute the transaction. Also on your receipt does it state what company policy is on transactions that are not delivered within the time frame of six weeks.
