How does your debit card get cloned?

I've had my debit card cloned and almost 拢300 withdrawn from ATM's in Bangkok - I have never been to Thailand in my life! How on earth do the b******** do it?|||Good word for it..cloned..i like that. Well Its as simple as someone getting there hands on your card number and duplicating it. Its a wonder what people will do for money these days without weighing the consequences. All you hae to do is shop at a store where they have been hacked and bam..your card is being used or duplicated.|||Somehow, someone stole your identity. There are many places that people can use stolen credit cards. I've seen it on tv. If you check your bank balance every day and report this immediately, it might be able to be replaced. There are some very smart, very rude people on the computers that have fun with other peoples money. Be careful.|||If you don't travel or don't go where there is not chip and pin. I would ask the bank to send you a card without the magnetic strip.|||How do you know it is a Debit card? Maybe they are electronically withdrawling from your account.|||Your Bank, and just about every other financial institution offers advice and solutions for Identity Theft. Much is done online. Also, check with local Law enforcement or the FBI. But, your bank should be able to credit you if you file a dispute, the credit should be immediate, then they send you some paperwork to fill out and it becomes permanent after their investigation.
