Can you please tell me a prepaid debit card for kids that does not require a SSN?

My 11 year old son is tired of using cash, so he needs a prepaid debit card that does not require a bank. However, he cannot apply for SSN, so his choices are limited. Can you please tell me a prepaid debit card that does not need a SSN number. Parental control is optional. Thanks in advance!|||If he is a US citizen, he CAN apply for a social security number. If he is not a US citizen, but is a legal resident of the US, he SHOULD apply for an Individual Taxpayer Identification Number, which is used EXACTLY like and SSN for ALL purposes except collecting social security. If he is NOT a legal resident, you should BOTH leave the US.|||Possibly she cannot apply because the is in hiding because of an abusive relationship. People shouldn't always think the worst of others. She may have legitement reasons for why she cannot apply.

|||If he was born in the United States you need to apply for his SSN. How on earth to do you file your taxes without an SSN for your dependents?

Why do you need an SSN to buy a prepaid Visa Gift Card anyway? It doesn't ask for this much information when you activate it.

Buy him a prepaid Visa Gift Card in the amount of his allowance ($25, $50 or $100), activate and register it in his name and address and that is it... no SSN required.|||First, anyone born in the United States has a SSN so your son does have one.

Second, no offense but an 11 year old does not "need" a debit card...

Third, you could load up a visa card for him - they work just like a Visa and can be reloaded monthly (like a $25 or $50 card that has to last a month as an allowance). Some banks also allow parents to get a card for their child, like USAA (not sure if there's a minimum age).

hope that's some help to you|||this might sound dumb but a while back i use to see a commercial for babyphat debit card.So it might work because i don't think you need anything like SSN.
