How old do I need to be?|||No age limit on that... its just like having a check book. talk to the bank.|||Where I live, your bank card is your debit card. It is just another way to withdraw money from your account. However, there is a charge for that type of withdrawal. Any account holder can withdraw from accounts that permit it.I NEVER use a debit card. The banks gouge us badly enough as it is.|||You have to open a checking account to get a debit card. Gotta be 18 to do that.|||No age limit, as they are not credit cards. My 12 year old has one for shopping.|||probably 18 for your own, however your parents can open an account as cosigners, and get cards issued - with a duplicate card for you.|||Usually 18|||Debit cards and connected to your bank account, so if you have a bank account you can get a debit card.|||for bank of america you need to be 16 and Wamu 18|||I asked for my little brother and was told 18 in washington mutual.|||Bank of America is the bank that allows them the youngest, at age 16. Then you can get a student checking account.|||are you talking about a debit card or a atm card usually atm cards are linked to savings if you have a checking you usually have a debit card if you have both accounts you usually have a debit card-you need to be 18 but if you have a parent as a cosigner you can get it anytime|||at wamu you have to be 18 (some branches will let you slide if you're (so long as a parent's name is on the account), but only the parent is allowed to make withdrawals, you're not permitted to.

btw, you need 2 forms of ID. a state issued one (license, state ID card, passport, etc.) and perhaps a school ID (i used my college ID).|||Debit cards can only be attached to checking accounts which you have to be 18 at most banks to open. You may be able to obtain a atm card to go along with you savings account. Try opening a joint account with a parent.
