How long does it take for a credit payment on a debit card to show up?

I bought a TV at walmart on June 1st. I had my debit card, and ran it through as credit. Today is the 11th, and it still hasn't shown up in my account, and there isn't a hold for the amount on my card either. I want to be honest about it, so at what point so I need to go in and talk to someone?|||Call the credit card company and see if a payment has been posted. If not, call Walmart. They may have screwed up. But, more than likely it will show up when you least expect it-not what you want. I've had stuff float around in the system for a couple of weeks sometimes.|||It's supposed to show up right away or at least within a few days. It may also depend on the store's processing time. Sometimes, their systems don't process credit card transactions until the next day or up to three days.





However, since it has been over a week in your case, I'd call the bank and the store to see what happened. Perhaps it will be reflected in your next statement cycle and just not online (if that is how you're viewing your account). But be careful about this. I purchased something and it took a while to show up in my account and when my checking account got low, that charge mysteriously showed up, resulting in an overdraft fee because I failed to keep track of the balance in my account! Banks can be tricky if you're not paying attention.|||Did you check all the way back to June 1? While debit run as credit may take a couple of days, 10 is a while. You could call your bank or just wait it out, It was Walmart, so it will definitely show up.|||It should have showed up by now. I would go into Walmart.
