What kind of fees are there when getting a debit card?

I'm going down to my bank tomorrow to get a debit card for my checking account. I'm just wondering what kinds of fees there are going to be. Like as far as activation fees, monthly fees, etc...

If you have a simple checking account, then most likely you'll have to maintain a minimum daily balance to avoid the fees.


If you overdraft your account, then you'll have an overdraft fee charged to your account (around $35, depending on bank).
