Can a bank cancel your debit card for overdraft fees?

I have about negative 100 dollars on my chase debit card, and have been for about 3 months. And now on the chase card site it doesn't tell the amount in my account. My bro says it's frozen. How can I unfreeze it or is there another problem. How do I fix it. If I put money in it will it be fixed?|||You are usually safe for about 6 months give or take a month or two. But IF the account is closed because of the over draft then putting money in will not reopen account just remove account from being negatively reported on your credit. If the account is just frozen then putting the money in should correct the problem. I would call Chase customer support to find out more of whats going on with it.|||You cannot fix it

Most likely, they closed your account because you never brought your account current.

You should have gotten (and I am sure you did) a letter from the bank telling you you needed to pay your overdraft fees and needed to make a deposit by a certain date or your account would be closed.

Your name is probably now in ChexSystems, so you won't be able to open another bank account for 5 years.

You should have never let this get this far. I would imagine you owe more than that $100 you initially were overdrafted. Most banks add fees every day or week you are in the red. I bet it's up to $500 now if not over.|||Your Bank can close your account for any reason thats in the customer agreement
