What company will let me get a credit/debit card in my name?

I am 16 years old and my parents want to add me on to their account for emergencies and for fast cash. I hear some companies won't let you get one until you are 18.


Does anyone know what companys will let me get one at 16. Like mastercard, visa, etc.


I also here that I'm only aloud to get a debit card. Is that true? Or can I get a credit/debit card?|||You need to go down to your bank and ask about their student accounts. My son got a student visa but I do think he was 18. If you get a Visa Debit card, with your parents on the account-they can transfer funds right online or at the bank, in an emergency. I'm on his checking and when he was in Americorps last year I did that.|||I got my debit card from a check cashing place. It was easy to get. I filled out a form and got a temporary working card in 5 minutes. Then I received my real card about 5 days later in the mail.
